Summary
This parliamentary motion demands transparency regarding the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation's $32 million investment in Harrison.ai, an Australian AI healthcare company. The inquiry focuses on reports that the startup is scaling back Australian operations in favor of a new U.S.-based venture despite receiving significant domestic funding. While primarily focused on economic sovereignty and industry policy, the scrutiny of government-funded AI development highlights the intersection of national interest, frontier AI commercialization, and the governance of critical Australian technology assets.
