Summary

This parliamentary petition highlights the escalating energy requirements of frontier AI systems and argues that current renewable energy infrastructure in Australia is insufficient to meet these demands. The petitioners call for a re-examination of base power options, including fossil fuels, to prevent a decline in national productivity and living standards caused by the 'AI revolution.' While it touches on the infrastructure needs for AI growth, it focuses on energy security rather than direct catastrophic risk reduction or safety alignment. The document represents a grassroots Australian policy perspective on the intersection of technological advancement and national resource management.

Body

Energy RE-adopt fossil fuels, as windmill & solar farms will NOT keep up with Artificial Intelligence vast energy demands, from the grid. Grid demands will NOT cope with renewables. Assist population & A.I. growth with its power requirements ASAP, or productivity & standard of living will continue to decline We therefore ask the House to pass legislation to re-examine long term base power options ASAP to compliment &/or replace renewables to cope with projected vast grid demands accentuated by the A.I revolution. Empirical technocratic analysis & evidence to be supported by mandatory Feasability Studies to minimise the burden on taxpayers & create accuracy in preventing Budget blowouts as is currently the case in the current National infrastructure projects. from nine citizens (Petition No. EN10127)
