Description

Home Affairs brings together Australia's federal law enforcement, national and transport security, criminal justice, emergency management, multicultural affairs, settlement services and immigration and border-related functions, working together to keep Australia safe.

Summary

The Department of Home Affairs in Australia outlines guidelines for the responsible use of artificial intelligence when applying for its Graduate Development Program. It emphasizes the importance of applicants demonstrating their own skills and integrity, rather than relying on AI to complete tasks in the application process. These practices reflect the department's commitment to ethical standards, ensuring that candidates' demonstrated competencies accurately reflect their potential. While AI can assist in preparation and organization, the department underscores the necessity of maintaining personal accountability and original authorship in application materials, aligning with broader principles of trust, accountability, and ethical behavior in AI usage.
