You will deliver high-quality programs across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, coordinate courses, and collaborate with colleagues, the University, and external partners. The role involves leading and participating in impactful research, with Senior Lecturers expected to provide research leadership, attract funding, and embed expertise into the School's activities. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in Digital Health and AI in Medicine, including machine learning (especially deep learning), natural language processing, and predictive modelling in biomedical, clinical, or bioinformatics contexts. A strong Computer Science foundation with experience or interest in biomedical applications and improving human health is essential. Key areas include: AI in Medicine & Digital Health Computational Medicine / Biology Advanced Bioinformatics & Digital Phenotyping Drug Repositioning / Multi-modal Data Integration Knowledge-based Biomedical Data Analysis This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to teaching excellence, research leadership, and advancing Digital Health and AI in Medicine. About You To be successful for this position, you will have: Experience coordinating and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Cyber Security, AI, or Data Science, including high-quality curriculum and innovative, student-centred approaches. Ability to manage large programs or multiple smaller programs and undertake course coordination roles. Ability to support and engage effectively with students to enhance learning outcomes. Emerging or established research track record with publications in high-quality outlets. Experience in research leadership, including building collaborative teams, mentoring staff, attracting funding, and managing complex research projects. Experience supervising higher degree by research candidates. Ability to manage academic teams and support the development of less experienced staff. Understanding of and commitment to financial, governance, and quality management in a university setting. Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills for engaging with staff, students, industry, and senior executives. Ability to build networks and collaborations across academia, industry, and government to support research and funding initiatives. Qualifications Mandatory: PhD or equivalent in relevant field.
