Description
AFIA is pleased to share a save the date for an upcoming AI Governance and Strategy Forum, delivered in partnership with Mallesons and Amplify Group, focused on AI governance, risk and practical implementation within financial services.
Summary
This event focuses on the practical implementation of AI governance and risk management frameworks within the Australian financial services sector. It addresses how non-bank lenders can move from theoretical principles to operational risk controls, specifically regarding automated decision-making and internal AI usage. While the forum explores safety in a deployment context, its primary focus is on immediate regulatory compliance and operational productivity rather than the mitigation of frontier or catastrophic AI risks. The discussion is significant for regional AI governance alignment in the Australian financial industry.
