Description
Summary
Australian AI company icetana has launched its Antara Core on-premise generative AI surveillance software, securing commercial contracts with Millennium Services Group. The technology focuses on real-time hazard detection and automated incident response within large-scale retail environments. While the software integrates generative AI capabilities for enterprise surveillance, its application is limited to localized safety and liability reduction rather than frontier AI safety or the mitigation of catastrophic risks. The development highlights a shift toward on-premise AI deployment to address data privacy and security concerns in Australian critical infrastructure and public spaces.

First two Antara Core orders secured from MillenniumOrders worth $617,000 over five years, paid upfrontFirst commercial deployment of floor hazard and slip-and-fall detection Special Report: icetana AI has secured the first sales of Antara Core, with two orders from Millennium Services Group worth a combined $617,000 over five years.Antara Core is icetana's (ASX:ICE) new on-premise AI software solution for surveillance networks, designed to add on-premise generative AI capabilities to its existing self-learning surveillance platform for enterprise customers. The product is designed to provide a privacy-controlled alternative to cloud-based AI services such as OpenAI, particularly for large-scale surveillance environments where data security and local control are critical.icetana CEO Kevin Brown said Antara Core was purpose-built for large-scale enterprise environments.“This product addresses a genuine gap in the market — customers who need the power of AI but require it to operate securely within their own infrastructure, without reliance on external cloud services,” he said."This sale also reflects the strength of our partnership with SoftBank Robotics and Millennium Services Group in our home market of Australia, and we look forward to expanding Antara Core's footprint across their broader portfolio of sites."Millennium rolloutThe services deal will be billed as software-as-a-service and paid upfront, adding $123,000 to icetana AI’s annual recurring revenue.Millennium is an Australian security and cleaning services operator servicing more than 100 major shopping centres across Australia and New Zealand.SoftBank Robotics, icetana AI’s strategic partner and significant shareholder, holds a majority stake in Millennium. The first Antara Core order is worth $198,800 over 60 months and will be deployed at a large retail shopping centre in northeast Queensland covering more than 107,000sqm and 345 shops. The second order is worth $418,545 plus GST over 60 months and will be deployed at a large retail shopping centre in New South Wales, described as one of the largest malls in the southern hemisphere. The first deployment is expected to save Millennium up to $4m in AI costs per year.Floor hazard detectionThe orders also mark the first commercial deployment of icetana AI’s floor hazard and slip-and-fall detection solution. The tool is designed to help shopping centre operators reduce incidents, limit liability and lower insurance premiums. The deployment provides an early commercial application for Antara Core in high-footfall retail environments, where cleaning, security and incident response teams require rapid identification of potential hazards across large areas.icetana AI develops self-learning security AI software for large-scale surveillance networks and security operations centres. The company’s technology is now deployed across more than 70 sites, 19,000 cameras and 15 countries. This article was developed in collaboration with icetana, a Stockhead advertiser at the time of publishing.
