Bio
Dr. Shimei Pan is an Associate Professor in the Information Systems Department at UMBC, specializing in Natural Language Processing, Large-Scale Social Media Analytics, and Human Behavior Modeling. She has an extensive publication record with over 100 peer-reviewed papers and holds prominent roles in major conferences such as ACM IUI and IEEE ICTAI. Dr. Pan earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University and currently serves as an associate editor for ACM Transactions on Interactive Intelligent Systems.
