Bio
Sisanda Nkoala is an Associate Professor in the Linguistics Department at the University of the Western Cape, and holds the UWC Chair in Media Inclusion and Diversity. She is an accomplished researcher, winning multiple awards such as the 2024 NRF Emerging/Early Career Researcher award and the 2023 HERS-SA Young Women Leader in Higher Education award. Her research focuses on rhetoric, South African media ecologies, multilingualism in higher education, and journalism studies.
