Bio

Kentaro Toyama is the W.K. Kellogg Professor of Community Information at the University of Michigan School of Information. He is known for his work on digital technology and social change, including his concept of technology's 'Law of Amplification'. Toyama is also a fellow at the Dalai Lama Center for Ethics and Transformative Values at MIT and the author of 'Geek Heresy: Rescuing Social Change from the Cult of Technology'.
