Bio

Lydia Khalil is the Program Director of the Transnational Challenges Program at the Lowy Institute, where she manages the Digital Threats to Democracy Project. With a focus on governance, technology, and security, she has extensive expertise in international relations, national security, and strategic intelligence. Lydia is a Senior Research Fellow at Deakin University's Alfred Deakin Institute and has published widely, including her book 'Rise of the Extreme Right: The New Global Extremism and the Threat to Democracy'.
