Dr. Zena Assaad is a senior lecturer at the School of Engineering, Australian National University. She specializes in the safety of human-machine teaming and AI systems, with fellowships at the Australian Army Research Centre and Trusted Autonomous Systems. Dr. Assaad is recognized globally, having been named among the 'Top 10 Women in AI' in the Asia-Pacific by AI Magazine and receiving multiple awards, including the 2023 Women in AI Award for Defence.
